Description
Community HealthChoices (CHC) is Pennsylvania's managed care long term services and supports (LTSS) program serving seniors and individuals with physical disabilities in the Commonwealth who are covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
Assist in the coordination of benefit updates to members and groups, competitive analysis, product analysis, work group coordination, and interface with a variety of functional areas throughout the UPMC Health Plan and System.
Responsibilities:
Work with a variety of functional areas within Health Plan and System to assist in the creation and implementation of new products. Communicate effectively all issues that impact daily and ongoing operations. Input on group contract write-ups and initiatives. Assist on coordinating the cost benefit analysis on proposed initiatives. Update the Healthy Living Rewards vendor directory semi-annually. Evaluate the impact new Federal and States mandates have on new and existing products. Communicate all market intelligence information to Marketing Staff to ensure the understanding of competitive threats and issues on a weekly basis. Track and document all Market Intelligence and Competitive Information. Evaluate the impact of new federal state mandates. Meet deadline as set by executive staff. Attend continuous education classes to increase knowledge in the health care industry. Solicit and update additional members within the healthy rewards program. Assist on the analysis and reporting of product financials, product costs trends, and key performance indicators. Coordinate all regulatory mailings, sales tools, summary of benefits, schedule of benefits, product and rate filings and handbooks. Submit weekly report to Manager Product Management & Development that outlines all activities and meetings.

Qualifications
Internal B.S. degree in Business Administration or Marketing OR 4 years of experience in health insurance, product development, or product management will be considered in lieu of degree 2 years experience in insurance or medical environment. Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel and Access Software packages. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Ability to work with various levels of staff throughout the corporation and be multi-task oriented. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required. Ability to supervise and direct projects as needed. Team player.
