Job Description/Summary/Objectives: University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks an Neurocritical Care Physician to treat individuals with emergent neurological conditions affecting the brain, spine, nerves, or muscles including but not limited to acute ischemic strokes, intracranial hemorrhages, coma, seizures, traumatic brain or spinal cord injury, or acute neuromuscular weakness compromising functional abilities that require critical care services; manage and diagnose patients with critical conditions at UPMC Mercy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Treat individuals with emergent neurological conditions affecting the brain, spine, nerves, or muscles including but not limited to acute ischemic strokes, intracranial hemorrhages, coma, seizures, traumatic brain or spinal cord injury, or acute neuromuscular weakness compromising functional abilities that require critical care services;
- Manage and diagnose patients with critical conditions at UPMC Mercy.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications and Licensure/Certification:
- Must have a M.D. or equivalent;
- completion of a residency in Neurology or related
- completion of a fellowship in Neurologic Critical Care
- Must have a valid PA medical license or eligibility for licensure
