UPMC Altoona's Medical Outpatient Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support our team on rotating shifts of 8 or 12 hours between 0630 and 2000 M-F. 

Purpose:
Provides direct and indirect care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Provides leadership for the nursing team, and contributes to the education of a variety of members of the staff and students.

Responsibilities:

• Document/records appropriate information required in performance of responsibilities in relation to the job description.
• General nursing ability.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to adapt to clinical treatment and instructional aspect of care to all stages of the life cycle and to various states of health and disease.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Registered Nurse (RN)

Act 33 with renewal

Act 34 with renewal

Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Casual Set rate of $30.00 plus shift differential for off shift.
