Provider Chat Advocate

Description

 


The Provider Chat Advocate acts as an advocate for Health Plan Providers by providing guidance, interpretation, and education on benefit coverage levels, claims payment, and various program inquires.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Answer incoming inquiries from local and national providers.
  • Document inquires in accordance with UPMC Health Plan Provider Service Center guidelines.
  • Follow up on and document actions required to service inquiry Providers.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by being proactive and responsive to all Provider inquires and requests.
  • Remain current on all departmental policies, procedures, plan benefit designs, and modifications.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate information regarding all lines of business.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of six months of customer service and/or call center experience. Proficiency in typing required. 
  • Ability to make independent decisions. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet program preferred. 
  • Basic analytical skills necessary to evaluate customer inquiries. 
  • Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills.
