We are looking for a Temporary Health Screener to join our team! Western Psychiatric Hospital is seeking temporary Health Screeners to work day, evening and/or overnight shifts. $15.00 / hour.

This temporary role is a six-month to 12 month long assignment located at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital and rotating between day and evening shifts. If you pride yourself on your ability to learn quickly, think innovatively, and be a team player, this is a great opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and following screening protocols
  • Asking a series of health-related questions
  • Ensuring individuals maintain appropriate social distancing while taking individuals’ temperature using a thermometer, if required
  • Ensuring all individuals are screened and wearing a mask prior to them entering the facility
  • Follow guidelines to determine if an individual is clear to enter a facility
  • Greet and possible assist patient to proper department

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Strongly Preferred. Post-secondary education is preferred
  • One year of administrative support working experience is highly preferred
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Must possess typing skills and working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar and spreadsheets
  • Must possess the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs
  • General knowledge and experience with office equipment such as copiers, multi-line phone systems, fax machines and paging systems

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
