Description
Purpose:
Conduct and document moderate to complex healthcare and financial data analysis projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and utilization data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past performance and/or to project a probability and make improvement recommendations. Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
- Collect and study data including; health care and financial, to determine costs of business activities. Recommend adjustments, other cost improvement measures.
- Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
- Perform moderately complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems including payer and EMR databases.
- Develop financial, utilization and quality reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Collect and study data to determine costs of business activities. Recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures.
- Ability to Utilizing different data sources for analyses
- Understand Key Performance Measures and Indicators that drive company measurement, reporting and analytics across key data sources and functions such as medical claims transactions pharmacy claims (NCPDP D.0), EMR/EHR, lab transactions, and other emerging data asset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related business field required.
- Minimum of one year of related work experience required.
- CPA/MBA preferred.
- Microsoft office with emphasis on spreadsheet application required and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
