Description

Purpose:
Manage, coordinate, and supervise the Call Center staff who are charged with scheduling for UPMC outpatient offices. Deescalate any issues with patients and/or offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform random audits of staff work to monitor performance, quality, and metrics. Provide timely performance evaluations for staff.
  • Establish performance measurements for all processes.
  • Monitor and ensure agents are adhering to workflows and call center metrics. 
  • Assist management in the development and guidance to staff in their daily activities.
  • Investigate and resolve all issues presented by staff.
  • Review workflow to maximize automated systems.
  • Assist Information Services in the development and implementation of computer enhancements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in healthcare administration, finance, or related field and 1 year of healthcare billing, registration, or patient business services
  • OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 3 years of healthcare billing, registration, or patient business services
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Strong preference for prior leadership experience


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
 

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
