UPMC is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to fill the role of Manager of Infusion, Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center at the Divine Providence Campus!

This is an excellent position for an experienced Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in his/her career!

The Registered Nurse in this role manages day to day operations for the Infusion and Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center, providing supervision to employees. Facilitates staff schedules and patient care for daily operations, ensuring an environment of professional collaborative practice and employee satisfaction.

  • Provides continuum of care for patients in collaboration with physician and advanced practice professionals, and nurses with accountability for planning, implementation and evaluation of services at all levels.
  • Patient/Customer Experience Orientation and Patient SafetyDesigns/utilizes the right tools to capture customer satisfaction and evaluate concerns. Creates and promotes a work team environment where focus is routinely placed on achieving the highest level of patient/customer satisfaction. Hardwires evidence-based best practices to enhance the customer/patient experience. Has an understanding of customer centric service metrics and implements plan to achieve highest levels of patient/customer experience. Understands that patient safety is everyone?s responsibility. Speaks up in a non-confrontational and educational manner when seeing a safety breech; develops or participates in a project or action plan to reduce risk or mitigate harm for patients, as appropriate.
  • Validates compliance with CMS regulatory survey readiness, coding, charging and documentation, evaluating CMS audit reports, reviewing errors and implementing corrective action.

  • Manages day to day operations, providing supervision to employees. Hires, transfers, promotes and terminates employees, using independent judgment.
  • Promotes patient, staff and physician satisfaction, facilitates problem resolution and promotes customer service initiatives.
  • Participates in the development of short and long term goals for the Infusion Center and Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center.

  • Bachelors in Nursing required.
  • 4 years Management required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
