Research Associate

Description

The Center for Sleep and Circadian Studies includes a group of researchers and staff who conduct studies to optimize health through sleep and circadian research. Their work encompasses a wide age range and examines a variety of sleep issues, including social jet lag in teens, behavioral activation in dementia caregivers, etc.


The Research Associate will assist in the execution of a study that is comparing three insomnia treatment options for adults who live in rural communities. This is an online study and participant contact will be via phone and email.

This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact and schedule potential participants from a designated pool of individuals who have agreed to be contacted for research studies.
  • Track participants completion of assessments and prompt them for completion as needed
  • Explain research protocol, screen potential participants for eligibility
  • Maintain and update subject information database.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in psychology, neuroscience, counseling, sociology or related research field OR current enrollment in a related Bachelor's Degree program with direct experience in a research environment required.
  • Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
  • Prior related work experience in a research setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred
