Description
UPMC Community Medicine Incorporated is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to support Orthopaedic Specialists - UPMC at the UPMC South Hills Outpatient Center in Bethel Park!
The Research Assistant provides support, as needed, to the department. This position will work directly with the Hand Surgery Fellowship, supporting general research and cadaveric training. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing literature searches, assisting in the preparation of professional manuscripts and grant proposals, and data collection, entry, and management.
The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented with a background in science, and will have an interest in research and medical data. Proficient communication and computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Organize references and materials for research projects and content areas.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with stakeholders and internal staff.
- Conduct literature searches.
- Provide support for grant proposal and manuscript development and submission.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and seminars, both internally and externally.
- Perform data collection and entry.
- Assist in data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field,
- OR current enrollment with some experience in a research environment.
- Experience in the area of public health, psychology, applied research, engineering, or behavioral health is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and the ability to learn various software packages, as needed.
