Description
Purpose:
Under the general direction of the manager of Marketing and Communications, develop and implement communications strategies of internal and external audiences in support of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.
Responsibilities:
Web/Social Media
- Create marketing materials around social media campaigns (i.e., graphics, tabs)
- Work to manage website design and projects, create copy for web.
- Social media liaison support for the Foundation, work collaboratively to create and submit social media components for Foundation campaigns.
Brand Stewardship
- Act as a guide in conveying the brand as it relates to language, images, and design to the Foundation as a whole
- Serve as marketing and communications liaison support to management staff and leadership of Foundation programs, providing consultation support and strategic communication planning, where appropriate
- Provide public relations support to Foundation departments and committees, as needed
Project Management
- Work collaboratively with team to develop and implement marketing communications efforts
- Communicate all financial information in a timely manner to appropriate departmental parties, both during and at the completion of each project.
- Demonstrate service-oriented behavior in interactions with internal teams and co-workers.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects appropriately.
- Maintain an accurate record of hours worked and work a sufficient number of project hours to meet annual productivity goals
- Manage projects of increased complexity, sensitivity, or importance to the organization
- Take responsibility for approvals and accuracy of information communicate
- Monitor budget, manage distribution and delivery of projects
- Complete projects on time and within budget
- Oversee graphic design and production process (including printing) so that projects are appropriate for the audience and message
- Manage event collateral, edit major publications and the website
- Manage printed communications projects for programs and events, including letters, brochures, invitations, and articles (in some cases feature length or scientific), as well as non-print projects such as video, digital communications, community activities/event
- Support fundraisers through targeted communications efforts
Copywriting and Editing
- Write and edit organized, clear, concise, compelling, and stylistically appropriate copy that accurately communicates the Foundation voice and brand Independently plan and research writing projects
- Coordinate the work of contributing staff, including editing and proofreading copy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, journalism, communications, health sciences, or a related field.
- Three years experience in a marketing position or related field.
- Must have excellent communication, multitasking, organizational, research/interviewing, writing, grammar, and interpersonal skills.
- Agency experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
