Senior Director, Commercial Markets

Description

Purpose:
This senior level position leads and directs the development and implementation of all Request for Information and Request for Proposals sales support for all business units within the ISD. These efforts include RFIs, RFPs, sales presentations, sales materials and collaterals for all industries and for all markets and products. These support services serve all companies within the ISD including Commercial group, Evolent, EBenefits, WorkPartners, Medicare, Medicaid and Community Care (when needed). All communication mediums are used. This position is directly related to revenue, growth and renewal business. This position works directly with all senior level executives across the ISD and the team they lead interacts across all LOBs and levels. The individual is responsible for the positioning and image for all offerings. Their job is to secure a place in all finalist presentations, and to position us for the win.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire RFI, RFP and DDQ process for multiple lines of business
  • Work closely with all Sales, Service, Network, health improvement and medical management team personnel to qualify, strategize and produce effective and impactful RFPs, RFIs and DDQ responses
  • Develop, manage, and maintain RFP processes including a database and automated tracking system for workflows.
  • Provide leadership to Sales, Legal, LOB ownership regarding value proposition for the company, products and services and for new content
  • Responsible for key strategic communications (including C-suite) related to pre and post-sale activities for group acquisition.
  • Responsible for identification and management of automation sales tools to assist with pre and post-sale group activities
  • Directs, leads, coaches and mentors a team of campaign managers, proposal managers, writers and support staff in the successful completion of all sales support activities.
  • *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.*Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree with graduate degrees preferred related to computer science, marketing and management
  • 10 years of experience in Sales, RFP and RFI development-specifically to Health Insurance Communications and Marketing strategy
  • 10 years management experience
  • Strong organizational, analytic and Project Management experience with a heightened level of attention to detail
  • Strong writing, editing and proofing skills within a health care environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while producing quality work and adhering to strict deadlines
  • Strong ability to problem solve, prioritize and think strategically
  • Heightened ability for process development and management
  • Experience working with senior leadership
