Purpose:
Develop and implement Agency events and activities. This will be done in a manner consistent with efficiency, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and work with Volunteers to support Agency activities/events.
- Coordinate Development activities related to the Agency newsletters.
- Promote personal and co-worker safety during work duties.
- Assist in the development of Agency materials for employee, patient/client and community events/activities.
- Write, edit and design newsletter, news releases, feature stories, annual reports, brochures, PSA's, presentations, and public related education material as requested.
- Obtain and process bids for the production of event/activities materials.
- Assist and work with Board and Committee members as requested.
- Represent and participate in Agency professional and community activities as requested.
- Assist in the development of the Agency Marketing/PE Plan.
- Assist in the development of the Agency Development Plan.
- Maintain and protect patient, client, and Agency confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Agency major gift programs and activities.
- Work to ensure donor information and accuracy of that information is compiled on Blackbaud.
- Responsibility to acknowledge donors and event participants for each assigned event/activity.
- Work with Development Director to coordinate management of donor information and utilization of that information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of opportunities for major gifts and other related activities.
- Write, edit, and coordinate grant proposals to potential funding organizations as requested.
- Develop and implement Agency special events/activity.
- Prepare objectives and a work plan for each specific event/activity.
- Develop and maintain a master schedule of planned and proposed events/activity.
- Develop a budget for each event/activity. Maintain a resource file on all event/activity.
- Make all contacts, arrangements and confirmations for event/activity.
- Design and coordinate theme and printed materials for assigned event/activity.
- Facilitate information of event/activity to employees, board members, volunteers and community.
- Coordinate inventory of supplies, materials, and incentives within budget for assigned event/activity.
- Prepare written evaluations for event/activity that include but not limited to actual financial summaries, future planning objectives to enhance project and the weaknesses of the event/activity.
- Work with the Marketing Department relevant to media on PSA's, News Releases, Feature Stories, as requested.
- Work to achieve and maintain quality and customer satisfaction in the delivery of services to internal/external customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or minimum of five years related Development work experience.
- Competency in computer skills in a Windows based environment.
- Demonstrate ability to perform computer skills in specialized computer applications(s) as needed.
- Display proficiency in both writing and verbal implementation.
- Access to transportation in the Agency service area with valid Pennsylvania driver's license and auto liability insurance.
