We're hiring a Senior Recruiter for our UPMC Health Services Division team.  If you are a recruiter with a strong sourcing background, then this may be the perfect fit for you!

This position primarily works standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with remote work flexibility.  In this role, the Senior Recruiter will focus on candidate sourcing and pipelining for several community and regional hospitals which include UPMC St. Margaret, UPMC Passavant, UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson.  Additionally, the Senior Recruiter will provide this level of sourcing support for UPMC International positions.

The Senior Recruiter assists and leads the development, implementation and management of recruiting strategies, including recruitment areas of high need and hard to fill positions. They create, develop and manage diverse proactive pipelines of recruitment talent through strategic sourcing and networking. The Senior Recruiter works with operational, clinical and business unit HR staff to understand their needs and to assist them in interviewing and hiring of qualified candidates. They are an internal recruitment solution for the organization, for hard to fill positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
  • Comply, analyze and prepare reports on the computer and works on special projects as requested.
  • Advise on and coordinate targeted recruitment events.Function as an internal search firm recruiter by performing specific recruitment searches as necessary.
  • Develop and initiate the most effective and innovative recruitment sources and initiatives for attracting and retaining the best-qualified candidates.
  • Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.Identify high need and difficult to fill positions
  • Administer Recruitment contingent and retained vendor process.
  • Meet with and assess the needs for these areas on a consistent basis.
  • Strategize with operational, clinical and HR about sources and strategies to attract applicants for high need areas.
  • Identify and analyze turnover trends.
  • Develop the appropriate relationships with schools, members of professional organizations and community members that could be referral sources.
  • Network with the existing professionals in these areas to find additional applicants.
  • Proactively build and create candidate pipelines; track individuals with these skill sets to network for future opportunities.
  • Assist with training for interview skills, sourcing and tracking candidates when needed.
  • Research new and creative cost-effective candidate sources for niche areas.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required.
  • Four years of high volume recruitment, sourcing and interviewing experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the health care field is preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing models to find applicants for hard to fill positions is required
  • Strong candidate sourcing skills are preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking or HRIS systems is required
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
