Member Correspondence Coordinator - Temporary


UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Member Correspondence Coordinator in its Marketing Communications department, located in downtown Pittsburgh at the U.S. Steel Tower. The Member Correspondence Coordinator assesses, plans, and executes projects that support and enhance member experience and satisfaction for UPMC Health Plan. The Coordinator will manage, with oversight, the deployment and maintenance of document generation systems and supports the Product Administration document creation teams with development and training for document style guides, manages document reviews, and fields questions that arise between editors, compliance, legal, and product staff.

This person will also coordinate, with oversight and as needed, all member communications pertaining to various regulations deemed as operational material, and support departments with member correspondence and fulfillment of operational member materials. The Member Correspondence Coordinator works closely with the marketing team to ensure materials are prepared in consideration of consistency in brand, messaging, and client customization. They will assist in the development of a tactical plan for all initiatives to ensure that timelines, deadlines, and milestones are understood and met. 

This temporary role is expected to last for 6 months.


  • Create and execute client engagement plans that engage, educate, and retain clients, drive demand, and support revenue and business goals.
  • Identify and detail appropriate activities that drive sales and support retention
  • Ensure coordination and clear communication among various stakeholders on all activities
  • Coordinate resources and development activities to meet project objectives both on time and on budget
  • Build and manage the strategic plan and deliverables to retain group clients and meet regulatory needs.
  • Support the business stakeholders with meeting and document preparation, production and delivery involving regulatory materials and renewal materials. 



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business development or sales support preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in marketing, communications, or health insurance-related field preferred.
  • Healthcare and/or insurance experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Good computer skills; Excel, Word, PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to self-organize, self-prioritize, and lead initiatives.
  • Ability to report out on a detailed level and a large-scale level.
