The Residential Supervisor will be responsible for managing two housing facilities that support individuals with Mental Health diagnosis. Will work closely with the PATH Coordinator and case management staff to ensure proper care coordination and determine the streamline of new processes for efficient housing structures.

The ideal hire for this role will have prior experience with housing in a similar environment or structure. Should be able to work independently and create their own schedule. This is a daylight position located in Altoona, PA area. Flexibility for on-call or evening hours adjustment a must based upon need.



  • Orient residents to and enforce the rules of the facilities and the lease/rental agreements and intervene in resident conflicts for the purpose of problem resolution.
  • Provide for adequate staffing in consultation with supervisor by selecting and scheduling back up staff as required in absence and during time off.
  • Contact supervisor, on-call staff, and/or emergency officials when needed to promote resident, personal and co-worker safety during work duties.
  • Provide for evening, overnight and weekend crisis calls from residents.
  • Provide for orientation, education of staff, and ongoing supervision and evaluation of staff performance
  • Assure the provisions of residential services at Blair House, Juniata House to include supportive services and counseling to the residents as needed and to screen individuals for admission to the facilities for residency.
  • Facilitate in-house activities to promote social skills among the residents, to include tenant meetings when necessary and complete health and safety inspections with residents on a consistent basis.
  • Complete assessments and paperwork to determine eligibility for admission, to include calculation of rent for the tenant, to be maintained in a complete resident file with documentation to include yearly updates of income, rent calculations and information.
  • Maintain suitable, safe and adequate living standards within the facility in accordance with agency policies and procedures while demonstrating support of the Agency mission and philosophy in delivery of services.
  • Assist in the development of procedures related to operations of the residential facilities.Work to achieve and maintain quality and customer satisfaction in the delivery of services to internal/external customers by participating in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
  • Provide for ongoing liaison between residents and social service agencies, to include close contacts with mental health providers and City of Altoona Offices and Blair County offices as needed to include participating in professional and community activities as requested.
  • Maintain facility daily log books/documentation to include: medical, psychiatric, emergency, facility and day to day operational information while maintaining and protecting resident and Agency confidentiality.
  • Maintain resident admission and discharge log records on computer, as required within HNA and external data entry systems to include providing reports when needed.



  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field required.
  • Minimum of two years related work experience.
  • Competency in computer skills in a Windows based environment.
  • Access to transportation in the Agency service area WITH a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and auto liability insurance.
  • Primarily daylight hours with some evening/weekend hours as needed, with on-call availability.
  • Flexibility in working hours -evening and some weekend on call required
