Gift Shop Manager - UPMC Mercy Seven Sisters Gift Shop

Description

UPMC Mercy is hiring a Full-Time Gift Shop Manager to manager the Seven Sisters gift shop at our Pittsburgh, PA location!

Monday - Friday 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. 

Purpose:
The Manager of Seven Sisters Gift Shop ensures the efficient, orderly running of the gift shop which includes purchasing, inventory control, personnel and financial accountability.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Stock the gift shop with appropriate merchandise to meet planned budget.
  • Balance cash on hand daily and forwards deposits and sales reports to Finance.
  • Create annual budget for gift shop based on past figures and current market trends.
  • Complete monthly budget variance reports.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, supervise, discipline and recommend termination for employees in Seven Sisters Gift Shop.
  • Supervise the cleaning and upkeep of the gift shop.
  • Maintain an accurate control of all inventories.
  • Create Blanket POs for weekly high volume vendors. Pays invoices in a timely manner through the E-Voucher system. Creates supply orders as needed via the E-Procurement system.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • 2 years experience managing a retail establishment including buying experience required
  • Experience managing a retail establishment including buying experience required.
  • Basic computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work well with paid and volunteer staff.
  • Highly skilled in customer relations.Ability to manage a fast paced environment


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
