We're hiring a Researcher - Recruitment for our UPMC Presbyterian & UPMC Shadyside recruitment team.  The Researcher is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday, between UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Shadyside, and your home office.

In this role, the Researcher will provide overall recruitment support to members of the Talent Acquisition team. The Researcher will be responsible for generation of candidates for various positions throughout UPMC as well as creating a pipeline of passive candidates for high-need areas within the medical center.  Other duties include reviewing applications, conducting phone interviews, and coordinating interviews between the candidate and hiring team.

  • Qualifying candidate calls.
  • Data entry for proactive candidate pipeline database.
  • Point of contact for departmental queries. Running regular reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis in addition to ad hoc reporting.
  • Calendar management for Senior Recruiters and Manager, Recruitment.
  • Vendor contact management/database maintenance/research for strategic sourcing office.
  • Document creation for the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Research professional associations, networking groups, websites, etc.
  • Process req folders (back up - 10% of job).
  • Also will be the main point of contact for vendor process monitoring.
  • Candidate generation through online sourcing.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Talent Acquisition events.
  • Employee referral management.
  • Manage UPMC Alumni Page - LinkedIn, etc (split between researchers).



  • High school diploma or equivalent required and three years of progressively responsible administrative experience required (preferably in a talent acquisition environment).
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
    • OR successful completion of the UPMC Summer Associate Program/Pittsburgh Fellows Program required. 
  • Related experience through work, internships, clubs or volunteering is preferred.
  • Experience with the MS Office package is required. 
  • Ability to multiple tasks and projects, and forge strong interpersonal relationships within the department, with other departments, and with external audiences required.
  • Attention to detail, with skills in customer orientation and the ability to deal with ambiguity required.
