Under the general direction of the SVP & CHRO, the HR Operations Director assumes the responsibility for analysis and research, data gathering, reporting, presentation development and special projects. Work with Human Resources team members and internal customer groups to support the development and execution of processes, programs, and solutions to achieve successful business outcomes.   Position will play a pivotal role in the analysis, design, and implementation of various operational Human Resources processes and metrics

  1. Develop key metrics for analysis; includes heavy use of HR reporting as well as Excel to develop analytical reports for use in strategic planning and decision making.
  2. Perform statistical analyses, reporting and trending of issues.  Explain results of analysis to non-technical internal customers and at times, senior management.
  3. Responsible for assisting the CHRO with all budget and financial planning responsibilities. Develops and maintains regular reports to track, trend and forecast HR expenses and expenses HR influences related to our Health/Welfare (approximately $1B in spend) and Workforce Compensation (approximately $6B in spend) programs.
  4. Perform routine/periodic analysis of department actual to budget expense and provide justification for variances for internal analysis.
  5. Responsible for gathering data, presentation development and preparation for all board responsibilities of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  6. Work with Human Resources team on a variety of operational project initiatives, including documentation of new processes and procedures and refinement of existing processes and procedures.
  7. Develop detailed project plans and executes all project initiatives within the timeline defined for each project effort.
  8. Collaborate with internal Human Resources team members on all project initiatives taking into account the needs of each area’s customer groups and adjusting approach as needed to accommodate.
  9. Remain current on Human Resources best practices through training and benchmarking activities.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or a quantitative field of study (i.e., mathematics, sciences, finance, etc.) or related field and seven years of progressive professional experience, with a heavy emphasis on operations, business case development and measured performance. Exposure to Human Resources functions preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills required. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to take initiative and work independently while also providing support to internal colleagues required.
  • Innovative and flexible approach to problem solving with a focus on continuous improvement and best practices with the ability to influence and promote new ideas required.
  • Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office applications with significant Excel and Power Point experience is required
  • Meticulous attention to detail is a must.
