Description

Lead Interventional Tech

Fulltime - Day shift with on-call rotation

 

Purpose:
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
  • Demonstrates advance knowledge in software application and techniques and the budget management of supplies.
  • Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
  • Performs all job responsibilities of an Advanced IR Tech II.
  • Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
  • Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.

 

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology. Minimum of 3 years IR experience require. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist.Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent.CPR or BLS Required.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
 

  • ARRT Certificate
  • ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 34
