As the Senior Manager, ISD - Essential Solutions, you will provide leadership for multiple and/or complex teams to manage the day-to-day operation, support, development, installation, and delivery of technology products and services within the department or business unit. 
The Senior Manager is further responsible for the identification and development of talent and for managing performance to ensure business goals and objectives are met, if not exceeded. This position will be responsible for teams supporting IT solutions for the following: facility applications, hospital applications, ophthalmology/vision center applications, EMT archival, pediatric applications, and food/nutrition applications.

  • Manages operational responsibilities of multiple and/or highly complex teams.
  • Completes performance evaluations and coaches/mentors staff.
  • Contributes to defining department's long-term strategy and goals.
  • Participates in defining capital and operating budget needs. Owns a portion of the overall department budget and is responsible for managing to budget in defined scope.
  • Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications (including, but not limited to, executive-level summaries/presentations) in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish all work efforts and projects between multiple teams and business functions.
  • Facilitates successful completion of projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach. Works in collaboration with multiple teams and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts.
  • Identify, create and apply process improvement to increase product and service quality to achieve business objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that service is provided to the ISD client community, patients, families, and visitors while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Ten years of total related experience, with at least four years experience in a leadership role OR equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant continual development.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, organizational, relationship, communication, and negotiation skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Strong understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives.
  • Ability to apply extensive experience to highly complex problems.
Preference includes a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in each of the following areas:
  • Demonstrated people management experience working with cross-functional teams responsible for existing technologies as well as implementing new technology, including architecture and security evaluations, software orders/charging/imaging integrations, enterprise application support, and analytics/reporting.
  • Proven success with team process and productivity improvement, with strategies, focused on enterprise planning and communication.
  • Experience forging lasting and strong relationships with clinical and operational stakeholders to achieve desired objectives and develop roadmaps for prioritizing and communicating.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of IT frameworks and processes, including vendor selection and relationship management, new hospital construction and integration, facility infrastructure, application security, networking, database management, change management and auditing, analytics, performance management, and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT solutions in one or more of the following areas: care management, capacity management, workforce scheduling, voice recording, patient handoff, facility and maintenance applications, food and nutrition services, infant protection, visitor management, temperature monitoring, ophthalmology DICOM routing, EMR archiving, pediatric solutions. 
This opportunity will be a remote/on-site hybrid located in Pittsburgh, PA
