Description

Under direction of Director of Business Development identify, design, develop and implement market-driven strategies to develop and foster relationships with key customers and referral sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other members of staff to enhance customer satisfaction and process compliance, ensuring the seamless coordination and transition of information.
  • Creates weekly progress reports on referral activity to executive management.
  • Development a quarterly evaluation of individual liaison goals and business plan through analysis of key metrics and referral/ admission trends. Projection of future business development goals; by ensuring short and long-term increase in referrals.
  • Generates referrals and markets the services.
  • Identify potential strategic partners, alliances, and relationships to expand core service lines and works with internal and external resources to foster positive relations on behalf of organization, healthcare professionals, and community groups.
  • Identify, design, develop and implement market-driven strategies in collaboration with Director of Business Development, to achieve revenue goals by developing and fostering relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Maintains and manages sales territory/accounts in order to meet goals by selling programs and services by establishing, building, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources. In conjunction with other team members, continuously conducts community, customer, and referral source education through formal and informal presentations.
  • Maintains records of sales interactions, provides reports regarding sales contacts and results, and assists in volume forecasting process in conjunction administrative and financial departments.
  • Monthly reporting on the previous months' referral trends and market changes/activity.
  • Responsible for managing own territory of business by building sales relationships.
  • Surveys competition, identifies new referral sources, designs strategies to increase market share for agency, and provides input into the agency marketing/promotional annual plan.
  • Using Market Atlas data, develop growth initiatives based on volume of referrals from various sources (ranging from non-referring providers to committed, consistently referring providers)
  • Assists with the development and implementation of short and long-range goals for increasing awareness and understanding of services among healthcare professionals to include, but not limited to, physicians, office staff, discharge planners and other hospital staff, facility staff, and payers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or related, required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, sales, customer relations or similar role, required.
  • Strong competence and understanding in the sales cycle, required.
  • Account and territory management experience, required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, required.
  • Ability to monitor and recommend sales goals for the department, required.
  • Experience and demonstrated success in territory/account management and/or marketing concepts, required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with peers, and business development tactics. Ability to mentor and influence peers through interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to take accountability, be assertive, working through and within organizational formalized and informal processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management skills to arrange and implement own territory account management, as well as serving as a resource for peers, in addition to the ability to analyze trends and calculate market penetration data. Flexibility and adaptability to changing work conditions, patient care requirements, etc.

Preferred/Desired:

  • Masters degree in human services, healthcare, business or similar, preferred.
  • Prior experience in health care industry, highly desired.
  • Service-based selling skills, highly desired.
  • Project Management experience, highly desired.
  • Experience managing an operating budget, highly desired.
  • Experience developing objectives, tactics and measurements for benchmarking success team, preferred.
