The Senior Product Development Specialist will assist with the development, implementation and documentation of new products, leading initiatives and teams and establishing processes across the organization. Senior Product Development Specialist will handle inquiries and requests from other departments, ensure our products and materials remain in compliance, proactively resolve issues, act as a role model for and provide leadership to their peers, and work as a cross-functional member of the Product Development team.


  • Remain current on all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, direct and lead projects and initiatives as requested by leadership.
  • Understand and present data, research, and other business information to various levels of leadership. Analyze and synthesize data from various sources as needed.
  • Act as a role model and provide leadership to other members of the team by offering guidance, training, support, and proactively taking the lead on all of the above as indicated.
  • Proactively report issues and/or trends, and offer solutions for process improvement. Initiate the necessary actions or processes in order to resolve.
  • Work with a variety of functional areas within the organization to assist in the creation and implementation of new products.
  • Develop plan documents, including format, verbiage, necessary approvals, mailings, mapping to network drive/SharePoint/DRC, etc.
  • Understand, interpret and effectively articulate to all levels and departments, all aspects of the various Commercial products and plan designs.
  • Drive and positively support process improvement as a whole.
  • Organize and drive various workgroups and committees with representation throughout the organization. Encourage positive participation from all.
  • Follow up on all responsibilities in a timely manner, or as set forth by established turnaround times. Communicate accordingly when timeframes are outside reasonable expectations.



  • Bachelor's degree in business, health care, management, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4 years experience in health care insurance and/or industry required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in product development.
  • Expert knowledge of Commercial products required.
  • Excellent computer skills required, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer and Visio.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to resolve issues independently and proactively.
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate clearly, professionally and positively with all levels and all departments.
  • Good, working relationships established throughout the organization.
  • Positive, professional attitude, enthusiastic demeanor, and leadership mentality.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and manage multiple projects, with minimal or no direction from leadership.
