Our team is growing and we have a part-time opportunity available for an Information Representative at the West Shore campus.  We are seeking candidates with strong customer service skills, and a desire to enhance and create a positive experience during a patient's visit to UPMC.

This part-time position will work 20 hours a week on Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Greet and provide accurate and useful information to visitors and patients relative to patients, hospital facilities, services, and activities in a manner consistent with good customer relations.


  • Provide pleasant greetings and information and assistance to the public regarding patients, the hospital, and medical offices in compliance with hospital guidelines.
  • Answer and transfer call in accordance with hospital guidelines for customer service.
  • Demonstrate competence with the computer and attend all necessary training programs to remain current with skills.
  • Ensure that workstations are adequately stocked with necessary materials to provide customers with current and accurate information.



  • Completion of High School graduation.
  • 1 year of minimum experience in a similar position. Experience working in a health care environment helpful.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows software needed.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
