Description

Purpose:
UPMC is hiring immediately full-time Administrative Manager for the Department of Neurology located in Oakland, PA.  If you to support the executive team and make a difference in the Life Changing Medicine at UPMC, this is the perfect next step for your career. 

The Administrative Manager is a supervisory level administrative support position responsible for the management, coordination, and implementation of the total day-to-day operation of the Administrator.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise other support positions related to the Administrator.
  • Communication with internal and external customers, UPP and all centralized functions.
  • Assist in coordinating Physician Report Cards, including collecting data, running reports, and formatting the information.
  • Assist in coordinating Clinical Grand Rounds, including scheduling and processing CME paperwork.
  • Responsible for the provision of continuing medical education credits to faculty who attend committees and meetings to which those credits apply.
  • In the absence of the Administrator, has authority to expedite all office inquiries.
  • Coordinate meetings through scheduling, communicating with participants and taking minutes.
  • Represent the Administrator regarding responding to queries from the public at large, academic, and institutional programs, as well as the private sector.
  • Manage the preparation of and follow through of all business forms, requisitions and expense reports related to the Administrator.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience required. Bachelor's degree and health care administration experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform under stress. Experience working in a high-profile department preferred.
