Research Assistant II - Alzheimer’s Pathways Sleep Study (ALPS)

Description

The Wilckens Laboratory for Sleep and Cognitive Aging within the Center for Sleep and Circadian Science conducts research on the role of sleep in brain health and cognitive function. Our new Alzheimer’s Pathways Sleep Study (ALPS) will examine how a sleep intervention influences Alzheimer’s disease pathology and cognitive function in older adults with and without risk for Alzheimer’s disease. The Research Assistant II will lead participant recruitment, scheduling, conducting neuropsychological assessments, data collection, data analyses, data reduction and data entry and guide participants through the sleep intervention.

This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform entry level research related functions in support of a research project(s).
  • Perform basic clerical and/or data entry functions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Ability to sort and file reports and records that have already been classified or that are easily classified in a simple serial classification system (i.e. alphabetical, chronological, or numerical).
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations in order to maintain department files and routine records.
  • Experience working with participants in a clinical research setting preferred.
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments preferred.
  • Neuroimaging data experience preferred.
  • Programming/coding skills preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
