Integrated Data Analyst- Senior

Description

UPMC Health Plan and WorkPartners are looking for a full-time Integrated Data Analyst to produce in-depth reporting and analytics for employer group clients, internal business line leaders, and executive management. The analyst will help identify and monitor health and absence risks in populations and evaluate the impact of implementing integrated health and productivity solutions. As support for business line leaders, analysts will demonstrate the ability to deconstruct existing business processes and make specific recommendations for operational improvements. The position has the potential for exceptional career growth opportunities.

The successful incumbent should have experience in SAS, R, Python, SQL, as well as client/consulting experience. This position would ideally be located in PA, CO, or WY.  This position offers flexible work arrangements. 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Demonstrate consistent application of strong problem-solving skills in the creation and interpretation of quantitative analyses, and to assist in development of analysis plans
  • Ability to re-engineer processes to positively impact productivity in terms of timeliness and accuracy.
  • Complete tasks on time with an emphasis on quality and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate leadership in development of analysis plans for complex projects to be carried out by themselves or other team members.
  • Create and maintain operational and customer-facing reports supporting UPMC Health Plan and WorkPartners products.
  • Compare performance against regional, national and international benchmarks.
  • Train new and existing staff on current and new products, processes and techniques.
  • Perform quality reviews of peers and junior level analysts.
  • Design, construct and summarize in-depth analyses.
  • Apply data-mining, statistical and advanced modeling techniques.
  • Ability to provide decision support for multiple product lines.
  • Explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including customers and senior management.
  • Prepare and distribute work assignments with an emphasis on determining and communicating realistic deliverable dates.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, economics, mathematics, computer science, statistics or a related field required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in data analytics required
  • Software Knowledge: SAS, R, Python, SQL, Client/consulting experience
  • Strong computer skills required, with knowledge in database management systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server required.
  • High degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and forge strong interpersonal relationships within the department, with other departments, and with external audiences.
  • Attention to detail is critical to the success of this position.
  • Interpret and communicate to management and colleagues, verbally and through written reports, the results of complex, quantitative analysis.
