The Data Coordinator maintains data quality of the department databases. Participate in design, maintenance and data entry of department databases. Monitor data entry completed by Data Entry personnel. Train new data entry personnel.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Enters and verifies data, when applicable. Collect and input test results.
  • Troubleshoot problems/seek assistance to resolve reporting errors and database problems.
  • Develop guidelines and manuals for efficient operations and maintenance of databases.
  • Assist with programming tasks.
  • Maintain database(s) associated with data collected by the department
  • Write data queries and create reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding data.
  • Provide periodic reports as requested.
  • Assist other staff in collecting, verifying, maintaining and reporting of information.
  • Maintain working knowledge of respective department and/or center.
  • Work with Research/QI staff to assemble and refine data sets.
  • Develop thorough and complete documentation of all reports/queries/data sets.
  • Assist with development and implementation of specific professional education programs to meet department needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. 
  • 1 year of experience in a health care facility.  
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

 

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
