Enrollment Specialist - Temporary

Description

UPMC has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Enrollment Specialist I position in the Government Enrollment department.  This will be a full-time temporary position working Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm including some Saturdays and overtime may be required.  This will be a work from home position with a competitive payrate of $15 per hour. 

The Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of eligibility in the transactional system, responding to both internal and external customer inquiries, and resolving issues to meet or exceed service requirements. To successfully perform the role, an Enrollment Specialist must have a comprehensive understanding of enrollment regulations and complete all duties with strict regard to policies and procedures. This includes performing duties related to the processing and maintenance of all member requested transactions, include generation of required letters to ensure enrollment and/or disenrollment processes are completed compliantly.  

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain neat and organized files and electronic databases.
  • Maintain and purchase office supplies as needed.
  • Prepare letters, memos, and reports.
  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external appointments, calendars, and meetings.
  • May entail work with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support all department personnel with duties including but not limited to answering phones, taking messages, copying, filing and faxing.
  • Greet and assist any visitors to the department.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Strongly Preferred.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • One year of administrative support working experience is highly preferred.
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
  • Must possess typing skills and working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar and spreadsheets.
  • Must possess the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs.
  • General knowledge and experience with office equipment such as copiers, multi-line phone systems, fax machines and paging systems
