We're hiring an HR Projects Manager for our UPMC Pinnacle Human Resources Team.  This position primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with some remote work flexibility.  Occassional travel to UPMC locations for business meetings is required for this role.

In this role, the HR Projects Manager will be responsible for working alongside the HR leadership team in support of knowledge, analytics, and project leadership to develop and execute processes, programs, and solutions to achieve successful business outcomes.  They are responsible for managing integration, acquisition, and related projects for the department.  The HR Projects Manager plays a pivotal role in the analysis, design, and implementation of various operational metrics as well as supports talent development programs across the entire Health Services Division or within a specific POD.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as strategic partner to develop, maintain, support, and report on goals and accomplishments.
  • Work to develop key metrics for analysis and standard reporting strategies throughout the HR POD and/OR Health Services HR Division includes heavy use of queries, Cognos, and Excel to develop analytical reports for use in strategic planning and decision making.
  • Partner with HR team members to provide project management, analytical, and content expertise support on operational activities and system-wide initiatives. Responsible for ensuring consistent communication and processes in order to achieve efficiencies.
  • Represent HR POD and/OR Health Services HR Division on project teams. Collaborate with HR team members on all project initiatives taking into account the needs of each areas customer groups and adjusting approach as needed to accommodate.
  • Develop and carry-out POD and/OR Health Services HR Division wide initiatives focusing on employee engagement and the UPMC Experience. Serve as main point of contact for all engagement events and activities by leading project teams.
  • Develop, prepare, and send all communications on behalf of the POD and/OR the entire HSD HR Operations team and serve as the point of contact and representative when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Health Services Division HR Operations team on larger scope projects where support is needed.
  • Establish collaborative working relationships with UPMC executive management within the POD and/OR with HSD HR Senior Leadership Team and HR partners to identify needs and design plans to address needs as a thought leader.
  • Complete any other special projects as assigned for the HSD HR Operations Team or Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Remain current on Human Resources best practices through training and bench marking activities.
  • Work with Human Resources teams on a variety of operational project initiatives, including documentation of new processes and procedures and refinement of existing processes and procedures.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and five years of progressive Human Resources experience with a heavy emphasis on Human Resources operations, performance and talent management programs required
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with proven ability to take initiative and work independently while also providing support to internal colleagues required
  • Innovative and flexible approach to problem solving with a focus on continuous improvement and best practices with the ability to influence and promote new ideas required
  • Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office applications with significant Excel and PowerPoint experience is required; experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred.
