Facility Worker

Description

UPMC Altoona Regional Health Services is currently seeking a full time Facility Worker. This position will work Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm, with on call weekends and evenings.

 

Purpose:
Provide general maintenance and repairs in accordance with Agency policies and procedures. This will be done in a manner consistent with efficiency, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Work to achieve and maintain quality and customer satisfaction in the delivery of services to internal/external customers.
  • Perform work in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.Follow work assignments.Attend required in-services, conferences and training programs.Adhere to Agency dress code.Maintain daily time and work records.Follow safety rules and property care for Agency materials and equipment.
  • Maintain and protect patient, client and Agency confidentiality.
  • Perform general maintenance, repairs, errands and delivery as requested by Supervisor.Move and arrange furniture as needed.Deliver packages and supplies to departments and programs.
  • Deliver and pick up materials at locations throughout the service area as requested.Deliver and transport mail and supplies.Record mileage, location stops for van reports.Maintain a safe driving record.
  • Provide specific home maintenance tasks and repairs for clients as requested and/or provide specific maintenance tasks and repairs at various buildings throughout the region.
  • Promote personal and co-worker safety during work duties.
  • Represent and participate in Agency professional and community activities as requested.
  • Demonstrate support of Agency mission and philosophy in delivery of services.

 

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Minimum of six months related work experience.

Access to transportation in the Agency service area with valid Pennsylvania driver's license and auto liability insurance.

No weight restrictions for lifting or moving.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Driver's License
  • Act 34
