CCP is hiring a Regular Full Time Senior Client Anaylst to support our Revenue Cycle department. Become a part of our integrated team helping to treat the whole child. Remote schedule available after initial training. Some travel to support operations of our locations required as needed. Prior EPIC experience, revenue cycle experience, or claims experience strongly preferred.

Under the general direction of the management team, this senior level position is responsible for comprehensive analysis of data and information for various UPMC products, evaluation of client's business environments and works with Information Services Staff and client professionals to develop requirements for information technology solutions related to business operations. This individual must possess a clear understanding of financial, clinical, and other information generated by numerous sources to identify opportunities to improve clinical and financial performance. Furthermore the position requires the ability to articulate these opportunities to internal and external audiences, implement the solutions and track and monitor progress. These functions must be done while also weighing the practical consideration and potential barriers that need to be overcome in order to successfully implement new programs and processes. May be responsible for the supervision/direction of 3-5 project team members.


  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm and initiative on a daily basis. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment a must.
  • Assure quality of information through business case and application level testing; validate test results to initial business needs.
  • Design and document system level, IS operations level, and end user level procedures to support business applications.
  • Advanced skills using specialized analysis and reporting tools, such as Cognos and SQL Reporting Services, and advanced Excel functions and graphing. This includes a high level of proficiency with SQL for building datasets, setting and maintaining subscriptions.
  • Proficiently applies IT methods, professional knowledge, and UPMC standards and practices. Intuitively grasps familiar, stable system performance situations.
  • Works with ISD staff, clients and/or vendors to evaluate technology solutions including both packaged system solutions and custom development application and component development options.
  • Highly motivated to apply process improvement to increase product and service quality to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide direction to other staff regarding technical solutions to meet business issues, as well as, anticipate impact and propose solutions.
  • Identifies and specifies technical/functional requirements, resources, and processes for complex sub-system or major system modification required to meet user requirements.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of production applications.
  • Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
  • Attention to detail is critical to the success of this position, with demonstrated competency in customer orientation and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Independently evaluates and documents operational performance, diagnoses issues/incidents, completes service requests/problem resolution for complex business systems or processes, including enterprise data structures.
  • Uses complex analytical tools and methods to analyze and streamline business processes.
  • Work with Information Services staff and the integration team to design, test and deploy appropriate hardware solutions, connectivity requirements and interface solutions, as appropriate.
  • Full accountability for developing requirements for complex to highly complex processes. Creates prototype designs for complex/ significant-risk projects.
  • Works with project manager to develop realistic work estimates and project schedules. Assists and mentors others involved with project planning and execution.
  • Responds to unfamiliar, undefined, unexpected, or unstable situations with the professionally prescribed standard response.


  • Bachelor degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, Nursing, Health Information Management, Business, clinical or financial studies or related field required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
  • 4 years of experience in financial and/or medical analysis with a minimum of 3 years of health care, business or IT experience required. Extensive related experience will be considered.
  • Project Management experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with professional peers and business partners highly preferred.
  • Supervisory or management experience highly preferred
  • Experience with SQL and Report Writing required
