  • Participates on various committees of the facility (e.g., Resident Care Committee, QAPI, Resident Council) and provides reports as directed or as necessary. Anticipates and acts to maintain a safe work environment. Incorporates safety/risk management standards into daily work practices.
  • Assists staff in planning and conducting ongoing training programs geared to geriatric residents and residents of various ages to assure that current material and programs are continuously provided.
  • Contributes as requested to the annual operating budget for approval and allocates the resources to carry out programs and activities of the facility as directed. Reviews and interprets monthly financial statements, and assist with taking appropriate corrective action in response to variances and trends.
  • Interprets/explains the facilitys policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc. as necessary. Represents the facility and Senior Communities on various committees and meetings.
  • Assists department managers and Senior Communities in the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures. Establishes and promotes a rapport in and among units to promote interdisciplinary decision-making in daily unit operations.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of written operational policies and procedures in conjunction with the administrator, DON, and unit managers.
  • Assists leadership by planning, developing, and organizing all units, and by implementing, evaluating, and directing the activities of the Administrative Support Unit.
  • Assist with staff development by planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the staff of the Administrative Support Unit, in cooperation with the Operational Management Team and support and strategic unit managers.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health related degree or equivalent required.
  • Previous administrative management experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and direct the activities of staff.
  • Ability to communicate with medical staff, nursing staff, and other departments.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Nursing Home Admin. or Current AIT
