Receptionist

Description

Community HealthChoices (CHC) is Pennsylvania's managed care long-term services and supports (LTSS) program serving seniors and individuals with physical disabilities in the Commonwealth who are covered by Medicare and Medicaid. 


Provide for answering calls made to the branch and directing them appropriately in an efficient and customer-responsive manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on customer service and continually strive to perform the duties of their job in a manner that will result in optimal patient satisfaction
  • Exhibit proven ability to facilitate change
  • Receive and greet visitors and interacts with couriers daily
  • Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of service we provide
  • Attend compliance training and adheres to the organization's standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.
  • Process outgoing mail and separate mail to appropriate locations
  • Answer, screen, and direct calls to appropriate staff or takes messages
  • Type and proof correspondence, minutes, and reports as directed
  • Relay information from patients, hospitals, physicians, families, and visitors by phone or voicemail.
  • Perform duties and job responsibilities in a fashion which coincides with the service management philosophy of UPMC/Jefferson Regional Home Health, L.P. towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and other departments within the organization.

 

Qualifications

Completion of High school diploma or GED.Able to use computer software applications such as word processing and use of basic office equipment.Able to provide information in a clear and concise manner. Prefer Business course background including typing, filing, business math, and business English. Prefer Experience with a telephone system.

Preferences:

  • Strong Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong preference for prior reception experience
  • Strong organizational skills

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
