We're searching for a Senior Executive Recruiter to join our UPMC Enterprises HR Team.  This is a great opportunity to join both a collaborative and innovative team that contributes to Life Changing Medicine at UPMC.  This is a full cycle recruiting role, responsible for managing the entire recruitment process for varied and complex positions.

The Senior Executive Recruiter is regular, full-time position and has a hybrid work model.  In this role, the recruiter creates, develops, and manages diverse proactive pipelines of recruitment talent through strategic sourcing and networking. Additionally, they work with business unit managers and leaders to understand their needs and partner with them to interview, select, and hire the best and most qualified candidates.  The Senior Executive Recruiter primarily recruits technology, product, translational sciences, and business related roles within UPMC Enterprises.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and initiate the most effective and innovative recruitment sources and initiatives for attracting and retaining the best-qualified candidates.
  • Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.
  • Utilize sourcing tools to attract a nationwide pool of candidates.
  • Manage relationships of all Retained Search Firm Vendors and help to set goals and expectations. Consistently meet with vendors to collect recruitment data through their sourcing efforts. Function as an internal search firm recruiter by performing specific recruitment searches as necessary.
  • Identify and implement diversity recruitment initiatives to bring in diverse talent into our executive leadership roles. Develop the appropriate relationships with schools, members of professional organizations and community members that could be referral sources.
  • Proactively build and create candidate pipelines; track individuals with these skill sets to network for future opportunities.
  • Deliver the best candidate experience and highest quality of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for creating and negotiating complex offers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
  • Partner with Business Unit to screen and select the candidates who have the requisite characteristics, skill and experience.
  • Coach hiring teams regarding effective recruiting practices to ensure policies and legal requirements are in compliance.
  • Compile and present relevant reports to HR, leadership and hiring teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required and three years of recruitment experience required.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of recruitment experience required.
  • Previous executive recruitment, information technology recruitment, or UPMC experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the health care field preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking or HRIS systems required.
  • Experience designing and implementing models to find applicants for hard to fill positions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
