The Treatment Specialist is primarily responsible to facilitate groups, complete assessments and conduct individual sessions as scheduled. Completion of all necessary documentation per applicable regulatory bodies/referral service.

The hire for this role must have a bachelor's degree and two years of drug and alcohol related experience required. The schedule for this role will be mostly daylight, but will require some evenings to support department need. 

The ideal hire will have their CADC certification, but it is not required. Should have experience with referrals, assessments and running groups. Strong communication skills a must as there will be partnerships with various community organizations.  

This is a split responsibility position that will require half time being dedicated to DUI and the second half of time focused as a case manager for the D&A program. 



  • Communicate and consult with Allegheny County/Probation/surrounding counties and parole offices concerning offender requirements/recommendations.?
  • Instruct Underage Classes as well as act as back-up coverage for emergency call offs.?
  • Conduct individual sessions and complete progress notes/documentation in an efficient and timely manner.?
  • Review and follow through on all treatment verification completions and complete all necessary documentation and data entry.?
  • Complete all required assessments, make appropriate treatment referrals and complete all necessary documentation. (Complete assessments, summary and level of care recommendation to the court systems).?
  • Collect, complete data entry and provide receipts for all monetary fees for groups, individual sessions and assessments.?
  • Adhere to all confidentiality agreements as required by state and federal law.?
  • Schedule, assess and refer positive readings and follow the established policy.?
  • Attend all required meetings scheduled by Mon-Yough Services, Mon-Yough Community Services, Inc., Allegheny County Probation/Parole and Allegheny County Alcohol Highway Safety Program(s).
  • Process money, daily office functions, and attend meetings as requested.?
  • Facilitate assigned group therapy, and complete all necessary documentation in an efficient and timely manner.



  • Bachelors in social services/human services, WITH 2 years of experience in D&A treatment/intervention, individual and group

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CADC and CCJP preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
