The Receptionist will work primarily weekends. Shifts are variable with coverage ranging from 7 AM - 9 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a role model for service excellence toward residents, visitors, physicians, and employees; holds subordinates accountable for service behaviors as described in The Basics for Service Excellence, departmental policies and individual job performance standards.
- Perform front desk responsibilities to include handling calls, work order requests, screening building access, physician billing, and completion of medical supply forms, paging of aides to assist resident's needs, paging of all staff members who carry pagers, when needed, to assist resident or emergency needs.
- Provide for being the main communication of a fire disaster and also an internal or external emergency.
- Offer assistance, direction, and/or appropriate information to those in the lobby area.

- Attend and participate in staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Front Desk Supervisor.
Qualifications
The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure individuals either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption by Jan. 27. For individuals who choose an mRNA vaccine, a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna must be received by Monday, Feb. 28, or within the designated timeframe after your first dose is received.
While the deadlines have passed, it’s not too late to get your first shot or request a medical or religious exemption. We each play a part in reaching 100% in our COVID-19 vaccination efforts.
