Provide administrative and technical support to the office of Corporate Construction and Real Estate. Manage the computer-assisted facility management (CAFM) system and construction drawing archive system for the health system. Oversee the work of the CAD drafter(s), including assigning and reviewing work.


  • Oversee the work of the CAD drafter(s), including assigning work and reviewing adequacy of work
  • Create and maintain real estate and space allocation databases of UPMC sites
  • Update CAD backgrounds and load into Planon softwareWork with Hospital Division to organize and maintain electronic files of building base plans and archived project drawings
  • Work with Corporate Real Estate and the University of Pittsburgh facilities department to update the annual lease reconciliation project
  • Track department space allocations by business unit; work with CRE staff to establish and update allocations in a timely fashion
  • Provide reports and analysis of space allocations as directed and as needed to support leasing activities
  • Serve as the primary operator (as opposed to IT) contact for implementation and maintenance of Planon software, including: Initial implementation
  • Data input
  • Ongoing troubleshooting
  • Assisting with the installation of periodic Planon updates
  • Assisting with the installation of future Planon upgrades/extensions of functionality



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred with 3 years related experience, OR
  • Technical school certificate with 8 years related experience.
  • Formal training in computer assisted drafting and design required.
  • Experience using Planon, Revit and Aperture software preferred
  • Experience with omputer-aided facilities management, space management, real estate asset tracking, architecture, interior design, or property management preferred
  • Database management preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Driver's License
