UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP) is looking for a full-time pediatrician to work in an outpatient setting in Pennsylvania.   CCP is the largest pediatric primary care network in Western Pennsylvania.  We see over 200,000 patients annually with over 50 locations.  CCP is a part of UPMC’s Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a U.S. News Top 10 Best Children’s Hospital. Responsibilities

  • Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Maintains a health record for each patient seen in accordance with Health Information Management policies and procedures
  • Refers clients for appropriate specialty care services, lab and x-ray and any other ancillary services that are appropriate for patient's management and care.
  • Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs.
  • Teaches students, residents and fellows.
  • Follows established policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvements objectives and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • *Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational and Knowledge Requirements

  • PhD and/or MDBoard certification/eligibility in applicable field of Medicine
  • Licenses and Certifications Notes
  • Must be qualified for medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
