UPMC Senior Communities is hiring an Administrator!

This position will cover for any Administrator/DON vacancies within UPMC Senior Communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the qualities and behaviors that support the mission, vision and values of UPMC Senior Communities.
  • Exhibit sound judgment in decision making and operational effectiveness

  • Promote fair and consistent administration of personnel policies, performance appraisals and progressive discipline. Monitor trends in human resource management and works effectively with the human resource function.
  • Monitor compliance with regulations and standards to promote quality resident care.
  • Establish working relationships with residents and families, coordinates family councils.
  • Work with Marketing Consultant to develop a marketing plan for census goal achievement.
  • Establish and update facility operating policies and procedures pertaining to operations and resident care.
  • Provide administrative leadership to ensure the facility achieves objectives.
  • Maintain good communications with managers, employees, residents, family members, volunteers and community members. Communicate regularly with the Vice President of Operations.
  • Coordinate all programs, services and activities to ensure compliance with state regulations. Follow established standards of care and quality management.
  • Accomplish and directs department managers to prepare revenue, expense and FTE budgets, monitors progress.
  • Effectively communicate with employees to ensure a productive work environment, conducive to excellent teamwork.
  • Analyze trends, develop action plans, and implement program objectives to achieve results.
  • Assure cost effective operation of all assigned areas through the development of productivity and budget goals measured against established levels of performance. Initiate corrective action.
  • Perform and approves performance evaluations for assigned managers and staff.
  • Assist team in problem solving for optimum effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish organizational goals and plans. Delegate responsibilities to accomplish goals and promotes a strong team approach among department managers.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required  Masters preferred-health care or related field
  • Min three years of prior long term care experience
  • Min two years of prior health care management experience


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current Nursing Home Administrator license

  • OAPSA
