Description

Are you ready to take the next step in your finance and accounting career? Consider the Accounting Analyst, Intermediate at UPMC! This is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday, in a hybrid work setup.

As the Accounting Analyst, Intermediate, you will provide for the moderately complex accounting and analytical activities associated with maintaining general accounts and developing financial statements and reports. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts and projections.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate administrative tasks, special projects and training programs as assigned.
  • Act as a resource for entry-level accountants or administrative staff.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Propose correcting entries.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Participates within internal and external audit procedures
  • Prepares reconciliation of actual to budget variance analysis.
  • Prepare and post moderately complex monthly journal entries based upon assigned accounting responsibilities.
  • Create accounting analytics for internal and external reporting requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience required.
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office with emphasis on spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
