Program Mgr., Clinical (RN) - Stem Cell Transplant & CAR-T Prgm. - (Lemieux Ctr.)

Description

Purpose:

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is currently hiring for a regular Full-Time Program Mgr, Clinical (RN) to help support the Lemieux Center in Shadyside/Pittsburgh, PA.  This leadership role will work with the Stem Cell Transplant  & CAR-T Program team at the Mario Lemieux Center within the Hillman Cancer Center with a regular full-time Monday-Friday daylight schedule.

This position functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations - Hillman. The Program Manager is responsible for clinical operations and direct oversight of clinical program to include supervision of nursing staff and administrative support staff for the Specialty Care Clinics. This position will work closely with the physicians, clinicians, allied health professionals, and ancillary staff within the Hillman Cancer and Clinical Research Services as applicable.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the clinical/administrative staff of the SCC program and provide direct supervision of the nursing staff to ensure proper flow.
  • Maintain an ongoing assessment of all transplant statistics and formulates data summaries as needed
  • Participates in Hillman leadership meetings and serves as a key leadership team member
  • Oversee specific regulatory aspects of the program as applicable.
  • Collaborates with inpatient hospital unit to ensure seamless delivery of care
  • Assist in the recruitment, retainment, and development of staff,
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with all ancillary departments and staff
  • Support and assist program functions as applicable.
  • Supports transplant physicians and works closely to ensure quality care is delivered in the program.

 

Qualifications

  • BSN is required.
    • Master's degree in Nursing or related health care field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience required.
  • Relevant clinical experience in either oncology or research preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, meet requests from multiple individuals, and respond appropriately to sudden workload changes.
  • Must possess excellent presentation skills and written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by the department.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
