Phlebotomist/Anti Coagulation Clinic Representative assists the Physicians, Physician Extenders and Anti Coagulation Supervisor in managing the Anti Coagulation therapy of the patients of PHCVI. Performs phlebotomy on PHCVI patients for labs ordered during their PHCVI visit and sending the samples to the lab for analysis.



  • The Phlebotomist/Anti Coagulation Clinic Coordinator will perform phlebotomy to collect labs ordered
  • Manage Anti Coagulation patients of UPMC CVI by reviewing appropriate results, managing overdue patients, contacting patients with results and appropriate dosing, refilling anti-coag meds as necessary, ordering anti-coag testing as required and be available to answer patient questions and concerns over the phone.



Job Requirements: High School Diploma. Completed an approved Phlebotomy certification - PBT (ASCP) or ASPT certifying agency. Current CPR for Health Care Providers. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree. Prior Phlebotomy experience.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days

Completed an approved Phlebotomy certification - PBT (ASCP) or ASPT certifying agency. Current CPR for Health Care Providers.

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
