Our team is growing and we have an opportunity for General Maintenance at UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic Hospital. This position will work days and will perform general maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Rotating (every other) weekend night shift 7p - 7A Saturday and Sunday, two, 10-hour evening shifts and one 8-hour shift during the week. Shift differential compensation applies for evening and night shift.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, carpentry/hardware repairs, and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Assist with and maintain general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.
- Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
- Perform all work following infection control procedures.
- Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
- Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
- Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Assist in snow removal.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a trade school program is preferred.
- One year of general maintenance-related work experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid PA Driver's License
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
- Automotive Insurance
- Driver's License
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
