Program Coordinator, Magee Women's Health

Description

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full-time Flex Program Coordinator, Magee Women’s Health to support the birth doula program and other women's health initiatives. This position will have both admin and patient outreach responsibilities. 

This position will work daylight shifts, will be mostly weekday but will include some weekend shifts. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

Coordinates with Program Manager many administrative and operational aspects of the program Magee Womens Health Service Line. Provides for internal and external communications as well as related community outreach activities for all counties. Develops local partner and sponsor relationships women's health events. The Program Coordinator will work with the Program Manager and other staff to effectively deliver the program and support women's health initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining business and program objectives as defined by leadership. Provide research and data for effective development and management of volume projections related costs/revenues and program scholarship funds.
  • Assists Program Manager with recruiting, hiring, training and performance of staff locally and regionally. Coordinates with Corporate Marketing/Communications, third party graphic and web designers and implements, as appropriate, all marketing/communications strategies and initiatives necessary to meet identified budget and goals.
  • Develops and maintains key external relationships with community, businesses, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center integral to achievement of the program's objectives. Collaborates with Program Manager and other appropriate Magee and MWRIF staff to implement program objectives, develop new programs, market opportunities, fundraising, grant writing, event planning, etc..
  • Ensures compliance of operations with federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies by interpreting the law to clinical practice. Responsible for complying with all Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implements and tracks quality measures and standards for the program. Responsible for cost effective and quality purchases and equipment for programming and events.
  • Responsible for following the mandatory reporting procedures for any incident or serious event that did affect or potentially could have affected the clinical care of any patient. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families, senior management, school or facility personnel, community leaders and other key constituents.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate goals and objectives. Strong group management and facilitation skills. Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.

 

Qualifications

  • Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology or Sociology.
  • Two to five years experience in a health or social service organization.
  • Experience in project management, implementation and evaluation.
  • Successful demonstration of the completion of the competencies required by the department/unit and to provide the care needs as described in the department's policy and procedures.
