UPMC Insurance Services Division is hiring a Financial Analyst, Associate to join our insurance accounting/statutory reporting team. 

In this role, you will conduct or assist in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analyst projects. This role will predominately be located at the US Steel Tower requiring a minimum of two days in the office and the remaining days work from home.

  • Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.

  • Review costs and perform cost-benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.

  • Record, classify and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and statutory accounting principles.

  • Assist in the analysis of financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.

  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.

  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related business field required.

  • An interest in financial/operational reporting and ability to work in a team environment preferred.

  • Microsoft office with emphasis on spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
