Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate professional behaviors and UPMC values including representing nursing leadership in off-hours, managing emergencies, customer service, employee relations, and ensuring staffing coverage.
- Assist the nursing team in providing resident care including professional nursing skills/judgment and other duties as assigned by leadership
- Round on each nursing unit and respond to issues as needed/requested, promoting regulatory compliance and survey readiness at all times.
- Ensure the safety of residents, customers, and facility through awareness and application of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
2 years nursing experience in LTC/Acute Care setting required 1 year of experience in leadership capacity required (e.g. Charge Nurse) Professional contribution required BSN preferred
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
