UPMC Urology of Central PA is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Camp Hill location. with excellent benefits and a work schedule that allows a great work/life balance?  UPMC's Urology of Central PA is the nurses dream, with multiple in-house procedures completed daily, nurses will get a great Mon-Fri schedule, and be able to use their skills!

HoursMonday-Friday 8am-5pm, NO WEEKENDS! NO EVENINGS! NO HOLIDAYS! NO ON-CALL!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physician with all aspects of patient care including assessment, evaluation and education.
  • Assist with procedures i.e. Cystoscopy, catheter changes, injections, bladder installations for chemotherapy etc.
  • Room patients and obtain history and VS, obtain refills for medications
  • Triages patient situations and coordinates care with physician
  • Formulates daily goals and a plan of care for patients that involves the patient as partner and considers the individual needs of the patient in a holistic manner.
  • Creates a caring and compassionate patient focused experience 
  • Actively participates in unit activities
  • Provide assistance to care team members.
  • Provides detailed and appropriate teaching to patients and families
  • Regularly seeks feedback on performance and applies continuous professional improvement.
  • Supports continuous learning in the clinical areas by participating in organizational and system programs. I
  • dentifies opportunities for clinical quality as well as workplace improvement.
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by demonstrating accountability for actions, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to patients and colleagues.
  • Patient documentation is comprehensive and promotes communication between caregivers.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
  • One year clinical experience preferred
  • New graduates welcome ot apply

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

All clearances must be dated within 90 days of hire
 

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
