Medical Physicist

Description

UPCI Cancer Services seeks multiple Medical Physicists to conduct and assist in all aspects of Radiation Oncology physics including commissioning of all radiotherapy equipment and providing clinical support; and responsible for performing regular quality assurance (QA) testing and dosimetry calibration of all radiation therapy equipment; implementation of 3D CT- and 4D CT-based treatment planning and delivery; motion management, experience with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT); dosimetry and clinical implementation of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT),  and image guided radiotherapy, and various types of brachytherapy procedures.    

 

Job Responsibilities: (please list specific job responsibilities)

  • Conduct and assist in all aspects of Radiation Oncology physics including commissioning of all radiotherapy equipment and providing clinical support;
  • Responsible for performing regular quality assurance (QA) testing and dosimetry calibration of all radiation therapy equipment;
  • Implementation of 3D CT- and 4D CT-based treatment planning and delivery;
  • Motion management, experience with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT);
  • Dosimetry and clinical implementation of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT),  and image guided radiotherapy, and various types of brachytherapy procedures.  

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Medical Physics, Biomedical Imaging/Engineering, or a closely related discipline;
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Medical Physicist;
  • Must be certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics, Radiation Oncology Physics, or a closely related field by the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics, or Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine;
  • Telecommuting permissible.
