UPMC Home Health is hiring a Utilization Management Clerk!

This is a Full Time position working Monday-Friday, Daylight hours. The office is located in Seven Fields, PA.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform related Utilization Management department office duties.
  • Focus on customer service and continually strive to perform the duties of their job in a manner that results in optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Perform documentation tracking and appropriate resource notification in order to achieve timely submission of documentation.
  • Assist with obtaining and processing of insurance authorizations.
  • Demonstrate competency and knowledge with information system as it relates to the functions of the Utilization Management department.
  • Attend compliance training and adhere to the organization standards of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Perform office duties specifically related to the processing of comprehensive assessments and related documentation (electronic and paper).
  • Perform duties and job responsibilities in a fashion which coincides with the service management philosophy of UPMC/Jefferson Regional Home Health, L.P. toward patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians and other departments within the organization.
  • Obtain comprehensive assessments and related documentation in a timely manner so that regulatory and compliance standards can be met.
  • Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of the services provided.

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of medical terminology course preferred.Completion of post high school program preferred.
  • 2 years general office experience required.
  • Personal computer experience required.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
